Sandrena Koning of Koning Art & Photography has been accepted as part of the  “Yellow-Juried Art Show” @ 1818 Arthouse, an extension of the Scurry County Museum 

Sandrena will have two photographs and 16" x 20" Mixed Media Sculpture on Canvas Board (images below) on display for the entire duration of the exhibition as part of the  “Yellow- Juried Art Show” (A Multi-Media Exhibition)

Show Description:

Yellow, in the form of yellow ochre pigment, was one of the first colors used in art. This yellow pigment has been documented in prehistoric cave art at least 17,300 years old. Yellow and ochre pigments have been used over the years to represent many different emotions and ideas. 

Juror/Judge: Patrick Schneider: 

Mr. Schneider holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from Texas Tech University in Painting and Visual Studies, as well as a Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Studio Art from Southern Methodist University, He currently resides in Snyder, Texas as the Western Texas College (WTC) Arts Instructor. He co-founded the Scurry County Arts Collective in order to bring more cultural and arts activities to Scurry County and surrounding areas. Additionally, he created the Office Space Art Gallery on the WTC campus to provide a contemporary art exhibition space for students, faculty, staff, local community and visiting artists.
